QC Inspector
As a QC Inspector, you'll be safeguarding the quality of our monopiles. In this challenging role, you directly contribute to the energy transition and sustainability across Europe. Here's what you'll be doing:
As a QC Inspector at Sif, you'll conduct quality inspections on products and processes according to planning, instructions, and procedures. You'll perform various measurements, both manually and using measuring equipment. Daily tasks include visual and NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) inspections of welds. Based on these inspections, you'll generate measurement reports and communicate them to operations. These reports are typically prepared using Excel or Word, although you'll often utilize specific measurement software such as Polyworks and V stars. You'll ensure that products meet the correct quality standards as per customer requirements and provide advisory support on quality requirements and inspection capabilities. Within the Quality Control team, you'll work (in a team) in a highly independent manner, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to make responsible decisions.
Your responsibilities also include:
- Performing various measurements and inspections during production and final measurements, manually or using advanced measuring equipment (such as total station, photogrammetry, or easy laser).
- Ensuring the correct application of established procedures and instructions, addressing employees who fail to comply with procedures and requirements. You have the authority and obligation to halt work and report directly to the responsible Production Team Leader.
- Advising the Production Team Leader on the correct application of procedures and improvements in the production process to prevent quality deviations.
- Checking deviations in processes and measurements and assessing possible causes.
- Initiating corrective and preventive actions to foster a learning organization—one that learns from mistakes and strives for a First Time Right principle.
- Early detection, reporting, and documentation of quality errors.
- Providing knowledge transfer on the application of quality procedures and instructions by delivering training to Grinders and Assemblers based on established training materials.
- Continuously identifying improvement opportunities in the quality control process.
Where do you fit in?
