Production Manager - Preprocessing
Lead a group of team leaders that build crucial components for wind turbines. These components support the large wind turbines and keep them standing under any circumstances. You oversee the safe and well-organized pre-processing of steel plates. Together with your team, you lay the foundation for the wind farms of the future, quite literally. What will you do?
As the Production Manager - Preprocessing, you will be responsible for the pre-processing (cutting and rolling) of steel plates for production. You will provide daily leadership to a team of team leaders who work in a 3-shift rotation (morning/afternoon/night). You support them in executing their work with their multinational teams. You actively collaborate with support departments such as Engineering, Welding Department, Quality Control, HR, etc., to ensure the smooth operation of your process. Alongside the Production Manager Canns & Cones Manager and the Production Manager - Procesmanager Assembly, you ensure that the entire production process at the Maasvlakte-2 facility runs according to plan and actively seek process improvements. You report to the Production manager, who is responsible for the entire production at Maasvlakte-2 . You translate the production goals (KPIs) into tasks for each shift.
- You manage and monitor the planning and execution agreed upon with the operations office and Quality Control in terms of budget, staffing, planning, and procedures.
- You provide guidance on (long-term) sick leave cases together with the Hall Coordinator.
- You analyze and propose improvements regarding production setup, and provide input on instructions and procedures.
- You implement efficiency improvements and optimize the production process.
- You actively contribute to the growth of our listed organization, with a major focus on change management and process improvements.
- You manage HR activities, such as recruitment, development, training, performance evaluation, employee retention, and support the teams with operational HR and HSE tasks.
Where will you be located?
You will be based at our Roermond facility. You report to the Plant Manager, who is responsible for the entire production in Roermond. Who are you?
You are an experienced leader with a healthy dose of self-confidence, familiar with international technical production environments, and know how to make teams with different nationalities operate smoothly. You excel in planning, organizing, and have strong communication skills. Additionally, you have a high safety and quality awareness as second nature.
Furthermore, you bring:
- A completed HBO engineering degree .
- Production and/or metallurgy background.
- Knowledge and experience with welding techniques is a plus
- Good command of the Dutch language in both written and spoken form.
- Proficiency in English, and German language skills are a plus.
