Tactical Buyer Sif Maasvlakte 2

Sif Netherlands is looking for a Tactical Buyer for its location at Maasvlakte 2 Rotterdam, responsible for purchasing and negotiating framework contracts for goods, services, production machinery, and leased (heavy lift) equipment required for our existing and new production line at MV2. You will be (partly) responsible for selecting suppliers for maintenance, repair, and modifications of our new production line at MV2 Rotterdam, and shaping collaboration with these suppliers. What will you do?

As a Tactical Buyer at Maasvlakte 2, you are part of the Sif Procurement team. You are responsible for (partly) defining the tactical procurement policy and its execution. This involves the procurement process of goods, machinery, maintenance, services, and leasing of heavy lift equipment for our existing factory and the new factory, which will be operational in the second half of 2024. You will closely collaborate with the MV2 purchaser, technical department, production, logistics, finance, and the procurement team in Roermond, aiming for an optimal procurement process for MV2, with interaction between Roermond and MV2 procurement utilizing each other's expertise.

You are driven, able to prioritize, and have sufficient knowledge and procurement experience to operate independently and autonomously. Additionally, you are capable of working in a team and contributing to process improvements to achieve common goals.

Your tasks and responsibilities also include:

Coordinating the procurement process (the entire order process) with internal stakeholders, mostly involving the procurement of goods, services, production machinery, leasing (heavy lift equipment), and maintenance contracts. Identifying and developing "new" preferred suppliers and reducing non-preferred suppliers to efficiently and effectively operate the factory. Supplier contract management: Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating planning, price, and quality to obtain the most favorable combination of terms. Identifying and managing risks in the supply chain. Effective communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders such as production, logistics, and finance to support overall business objectives. Analyzing procurement data, project data and milestones, cost structures, and performance indicators to prepare reports and make recommendations for improvement. Who are you?

What do you bring?

Bachelor's degree or equivalent level of education and experience. Experience in a similar role in a technical-industrial environment. Knowledge of procurement contracts and data management. Excellent command of Dutch and English languages. Affinity with IT and procurement systems. PDCA and process-oriented thinking; 'In control' and 'predictability' apply to you. You can commute to our location at Maasvlakte 2 with your own transportation. What does Sif offer you?

A salary ranging from €4,112 to €6,283 gross per month,  Commute allowance for commuting to work at €0.23 per km. Business travel reimbursement at €0.35 per km.
